2012 Farm Fair
Scouting Families,
Many changes have come this year to the Burlington County Farm Fair, namely a move to a new location near Springfield. However, one thing will remain the same; Burlington County Council Boy Scouts will still be there!
Every scouting unit’s help would be greatly appreciated this year! Each year more than 300 scouts, scouters, parents and other volunteers participate in this annual event by running the parking and doing the setup, cooking, serving and cleanup for five concession booths and operating a Scouting Recruitment Booth. We hope that you will encourage your entire Troop, Crew or Post to participate this year — both scouts (10+) and parents – for one or more four hour “shifts”.
Please mark the fair dates on your calendar: Wednesday July 18 to Saturday July 21. Registration forms are at the bottom of this page. As is tradition, we will be handing out a 2012 Farm Fair T-shirt to each of our volunteers. However, for a volunteer to be guaranteed a shirt, we must receive his or her sign up form by July 1. If you let us know you’re coming, we will also be able to provide you with parking passes before the event, make sure we have enough (but not too many) volunteers for each shift and be prepared for you when you arrive.
Please keep in mind that Friday and all day Saturday are the busiest times at the fair and consequently the periods where we need the most help. We also need a considerable number of volunteers for clean up on Saturday evening.
If you have any questions, please contact me and I will be glad to assist you. Thank you for your dedication in the past and for your help this year.
See you at the Fair!
Yours in Scouting,
Dan Templar
